Due to severe (wedding & birthday related) time constraints I present you a (very) short version of the weekly winners this week. Please take note: I have added only one Khans of Tarkir winner. The reason is simple: most pre-release prices are overhyped and prices (almost) always skyrocket before release. Only to lose a large percentage of their value in a few weeks.

Sorin, Solemn Visitor's +1 ability is strong in aggro vs. aggro matchups. And the ultimate ability as well. First you gain life through lifelink, stretch the game if you must. And when Sorin goes ultimate you will gain board advantage quickly.
Mardu aggro might be a new thing!
Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is steadily rising over the past weeks. It sees no real competitive play in any of the formats. But still, it's an planeswalker and fact alone is a guarantee for some dollar value.
Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver however, is not that good: it's very dependent on what you will exile from your opponent's library to really be of value. It's a neat trick against any combo deck in Legacy. Whatever your opponent puts back with their brainstorm (or keep on top with ponder/ preordain) you can exile. Making cantrips a lot worse. But, (huge but), it's CMC is 3. Meaning that you will probably be dead the turn after you cast Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver. Or: the turn before.
Since my time is short this week, I have not been able to research if the price increase of Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is due to some experimenting with Khans of Tarkir or post-rotation cardpool. So I need to call in your help. If you know: tweet to @MTGPeter. And if you don't know, check the twitter feed ;-).
Loser of the week: Legion Loyalist -13.9% ($4.33)
Legion Loyalist is this week's loser! Again. It's no mistake. After it's -10% last week, it's down another (almost) 14%
Cheap pickup of the week: Pernicious Deed ($16.79)
Pernicious Deed used to be hot! It has lost around $7 in value and can be yours for just more than $11 a piece. It's powerful, adaptive and sees Legacy play. It's a sweet card in EDH as well, and don't forget casual.
