Spike report: Zendikar fetches

Yesterday, Wizards announced through MaRo that the Zendikar fetches will not see a reprint in Battle for Zendikar. And this is against all expectations. Today, we see fetches have spiked across the board. With Misty Rainforest leading with a whopping $44 increase.

Here are all spikes:

Speculations are running wild, of course. Speculators buying into the fetches just might empty their wallets for nothing. The new Zendikar block will be the first in the new structure. And this structure was created to make the blocks more interesting beyond the first set of the block. Reprinting fetches in the second set after (maybe) awesome duals in the first might just accomplish that. Or it is just wishful thinking.
