Weekly Winners (36)

The market was much more interesting this week. It is spoiler season again and the recent spoilers have their effect on card prices already. So, once again, I present you the cards that will be the talk of the town tonight.

  

 #1 Harabaz Druid +235,4% ($3.32) 

The BFZ spoilers are upon us and are giving us the first real spikes. Harabaz Druid has been bought out because BFZ features allies. And since there is a modern allies deck (low tier, 0.30% of metagame), some speculators thought it would be wise to buy out ally cards they deem good enough to become interesting for the eternal formats. 

At his time in the spoiler season, it is still a huge bet if there will be any ally cards that will have enough synergy to be really good enough. Harabaz Druid is an obvious choice. Eldrazi's cost mana. And this card will give you just that, if you control enough allies. But this is a bet in itself, because will there be a new Eldrazi that will be good enough to be an addition to a modern deck that uses allies? 

Anything can happen to this (and other allies cards). If we do get (very) powerful new allies in BFZ, $3 might be cheap for a card like this. But if the allies prove to be disappointing, the $3 value can never hold. Place your bets please. 

 

#2 Jwari Shapeshifter +221.4% ($2.25)

Jwari Shapeshifter is the same story as above. The copy ability makes it possible to copy another ally is good. That is why this card actually sees play in modern decks. But for the rest it is the same story. Anything can happen, depending on the spoilers. Some people placed their bets causing the spike. Now it is up to you to make up your mind.

 

#3 Shaman of Forgotten Ways +217.3% ($8.60) 

Mono Green (or Devotion to Green) did well on the SCG Invitational in Somerset. Shaman of Forgotten Ways got a huge price increase in the wake of these tournament results. In contrast to some other decks, Alex Bastecki runs 4 copies of Shaman of Forgotten Ways in his deck. 'Details' like this get picked up fast and cause people to complete their playsets. Just in case all decks will start to run 4 copies of the card.
