A Penny Saved, a Welcome Earned
Hello everybody, Ryan here to show you all once again a sneak peak into the cards that we have hidden away in our Premium Membership Penny Stocks page.
Every month I take a few cards off that list and show them off to all of you so that everyone can see the boons of our labors. Today we have a card that I’ve watched yo-yo in price throughout the history of my owning one, a newer card that may be limited by its own wording but still holds worth, and a card I had never even heard of. So without delay, let’s get into these wonderful cheap pickups!
Thran Dynamo
Now the version that I own is the one from the Urza block, but that one, and in actuality almost every version, are sitting nicely at just under $5. And really, why shouldn’t it be? If you’re playing ramp, being able to put out one permanent that can tap for three mana for only a four mana cost is pretty good. Add to that the fact that it’s an artifact, so it fits in well with the Phyrexian cards we’ve gained recently, and all the aspects of this particular card come together for one well rounded addition to both players and collectors. Just get the tournament legal ones and not the gold-bordered World Championship ones and you should be sitting on a pretty stable card!

I like this one, and most of that has to do with its restriction. The card itself is a three-drop white enchantment that grants you card draw whenever a creature with mana cost three or less enters your battlefield, but only once per turn. That last bit led my play group to ostracize this card upon release, which meant I ended up with a whole page of them in my binder! Now yes, having it only trigger once per turn is a bit of a drag, but with cards like
