Universes Beyond: Warhammer 40,000 spoiler season is happening and a lot is moving up because of it. We have already seen some amazing cards being spoiled and there are still a few to come. Keep an eye out for new combos and interactions as these spoilers are happening, because so far this set seems to have quite the power level.

Just like the past two weeks, and also the upcoming weeks, of Weekly Winners these articles will be a bit off of schedule. As you may know by now I am currently on holiday in the United States meaning I am in a completely different timezone and also need to find time in between for these articles. This means that there is a chance that I may not be able to write an article. This week I am writing you from Colorado between Capitol Peak and Gunnison Gorge. Tomorrow we will drive a bit further and do some hiking in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Wish us luck!

Like every week, but unfortunately not in time for FNM, I'll now tell you about the cards that will be the talk of the town tonight!

Come discuss this week's price movements with us on Reddit.

#1 Magosi, the Waterveil $3.60 (+620%)

Magosi, the Waterveil

Well, that's quite a spike. Last week this card was selling for under $0.50 but all of the sudden spiked to $3.60 out of the blue. Before we get into the why, let us take a look at what the card is and what it does. It was printed in Zendikar at rare and has not seen a reprint since. This makes the card already 13 years old. If you can remember Zendikar being released, yes, it has been that long ago already. Magosi comes into play tapped, and can make . But it has two other abilities:

So basically you can skip your next turn, and get the ability to get an extra turn later on. Now this isn't particularly good, unless we find another way to get eon counters on it. Fortunately a new card will be printed in Universes Beyond: Warhammer 40,000 and that card is Out of the Tombs. Every upkeep you get to put two eon counters on Out of the Tombs. Now that we have these counters in play, we still need a way to move them to Magosi. There are several ways to do this, but one of them, that is also repeatable, is Nesting Grounds.

Congratulations, you have now achieved infinite turns! Now for a way to win, but with infinite turns that should not really be a problem. However, do note that Out of the Tombs works really well with Thassa's Oracle as win condition. Out of the Tombs will mill you out over the turns, making you win.

#2 Seizan, Perverter of Truth $28.80 (+216%)

Seizan, Perverter of Truth

In 2014 this card also saw a spike when it went up to $3 because of Nekusar, the Mindrazer. This time it has a different reason which may be fairly obvious and that reason is Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. It can be no surprise to anyone that Sheoldred is a powerhouse in Standard and Pioneer. When Sheoldred is played in commander, Seizan is an obvious include since it lets each player draw an additional two cards and lets them lose two life. Along with Sheoldred, that will quickly add up to 6 loss of life per turn for that player, and netting you 4 life in your turn.

There may be another reason for this card to see some additional love and that is that in Universes Beyond: Warhammer 40,000 we see the new The Ruinous Powers Commander Deck commander deck. In that deck we see Be'lakor, the Dark Master as commander. Be'lakor cares about drawing cards and cares about Demons, meaning Seizan, Perverter of Truth may be a good fit for people who want to upgrade the deck or use it in a new build around Be'lakor.

#3 Unbound Flourishing $14.06 (+145%)

Unbound Flourishing

This rare from Modern Horizons went up overnight, and you guessed it, it is because of the spoilers from the new Warhammer set. Unbound Flourishing is an enchantment for and whenever you cast a permanent spell with a mana cost that contains , double the value of X. It also has whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell or activate an ability, if that spell's mana cost or that ability's activation cost contains , copy that spell or ability. You may choose new targets for the copy.

The card from Universes Beyond: Warhammer 40,000 that is interaction with this enchantment is Magus Lucea Kane. This new Tyramid Wizard can create mana to help you pay for your spells or abilities, but also lets you copy those. You can see easily where the interaction is with Unbound Flourishing.

Cheap Pickups

Please note: for our 'record low' we consider the price of the card over the past 7 years. Many cards have been even cheaper (a) decade(s) ago. Also note: some cards are still going down, and might be even cheaper pickups next week.
