Spoilers and leaks are in full swing for Phyrexia: All Will Be One and we see some movement because of that. But this week we also have cards moving because of Modern and Legacy. It's a good week.

Like every week, just in time for FNM, I'll tell you about the cards that will be the talk of the town tonight! Come discuss this week's price movements with us on Discord and Reddit.

Articles

We're attracting more writers for MTGStocks to put out content for you! Last week Matt published his first article in the series New Horizons. The series will talk about upcoming sets, new releases, and other products, all the while engaging with the financial aspects of the newly released cards. Very excited to have you, Matt! If you haven't already, go give it a read and let us know on Discord what you think about it.

Ryan has been writing for several weeks for us already, but he also started a new series called Price of Knowledge where he discusses the price history of well-known cards.

If you want to receive an e-mail in your inbox when a new article is published you can enable it in your e-mail preferences and/or join the Discord.

Onto the Weekly Winners!

#1 Myr Turbine $30.00 (+823%)

Myr Turbine

So our first winner is a bit of a pickle for me. I generally don't want to address spoilers, but with the Phyrexia: All Will Be One cards popping up in boosters because of a lack of Wizards quality control, I feel like since they are officially "out there" it can be discussed. Also Scryfall has decided to put up cards leaked this way, even though they usually refrain from listing leaks. That being said, since the card has not been officially previewed, I cannot be 100% sure how it leaked, and I'm not fully confident the card is real. So with that out of the way, if you don't want to know the leaked card, I suggest you move onto the next winner. The next paragraph will contain information about the card's abilities.

It's not just Myr Turbine seeing movement, Myr Matrix also went up 584% to $22. It's no coincidence that they're both Myr cards. The leaked card is a 5-color legendary Myr, which finally gives us a commander for this creature type. It makes a Myr token whenever you cast a Myr spell and untaps your Myrs at the beginning of combat. It also lets you add counters to each Myr. If you want to see the card and the full text you can find it over at Mythic Spoiler.

So lets get back to the spikes. As you can imagine, finally having a Myr commander, people rushed to get Myr cards that will work well with it. Myr Turbine can be used to generate Myr tokens each turn and use them to tutor up more Myrs. Myr Matrix will buff your Myrs and is also able to churn out more creatures. But besides that, both cards are somewhat older and have never been reprinted, making them good targets to get on early.

This week we also saw Myr Propagator moving up a bit, but particularly the foil version. If you want to get a non-foil printing, now might be the time, before it moves up as well. There's also Myr Galvanizer, a Myr lord which is showing a little movement. Mirrodin Besieged was already trending up lately as we discussed several weeks back.

#2 Grinding Station $36.94 (+27%)

Grinding Station

This card has been moving up for some time and made the weekly Interests by itself. We talked about the card quite recently, but more in the context of Underworld Breach spiking. These cards are both played in the popular Breach Grinding Station Modern deck that has been doing fairly well.

But lately a new build is becoming more popular, and a player by the name of "Aspiringspike" is the driver behind the popularity of the deck. He plays a deck with both Grinding Station and Semblance Anvil. When you have one Myr Retriever in play, and one in your graveyard with an artifact or creature imprinted on Semblance Anvil, you can sacrifice the one in play to Grinding Station and get the other Retriever back from your graveyard. In the process you mill your opponent for three cards. Now you have a Myr Retriever in hand which you can play for free because of the Anvil. Rinse and repeat to mill your opponent out. If you want to see the deck in action, you can watch this video on YouTube.

#3 Loran of the Third Path $7.26 (+27%)

Loran of the Third Path

And another card we mentioned a few weeks ago, but this time it was mentioned in the Cheap Pickups and was identified by the MTGStocks Premium Penny Stocks feature. This relatively new rare from The Brothers' War can get rid of an artifact or enchantment and can get both you and your opponent a card.

The card sees play in several formats. In Standard we see it being played in mono white midrange, and in Modern it's showing up in Death and Taxes sideboards. But the card is mainly popular due to it seeing play in Legacy and Vintage, especially in the sideboards of the popular Legacy Initiative decks.

There is another card on this week's Interests though that is moving up because of this same deck: City of Traitors. This card moved up 14% to $350. It's always been popular in Legacy, but in the Initiative decks you definitely want to play four of them. Since the card is old, and on the reserved list, it is more easily manipulated and you can quickly see changes in price.

Cheap Pickups

Please note: for our 'record low' we consider the price of the card over the past 7 years. Many cards have been even cheaper (a) decade(s) ago. Also note: some cards are still going down, and might be even cheaper pickups next week.

Adarkar Wastes $3.34 - Moving up!

Adarkar Wastes has been identified by the MTGStocks Premium Penny Stocks feature as a card that has reached its bottom and is starting a consistent uptrend.
